Your adrian helmet belongs to the ingeneering, so I was very surprised I supposed at the beginning that you wanted to represent an infantryman.

This is the only badge I have for my Adrian at the moment, besides a Colonial badge. I need to find a replica infantry badge soon.

It's the good color, but be sure that it won't shine.

My Adrian is in the same color.

Well you can portray any unit wich had mle38 uniforms ; I know that an american reenacting group has chosen the 92e RI, but there are lots of possibilites. You can get a replica of an infantry badge on ebay france very easily there :

It's a good thing puttees are part of french pride ^^

About the colour of your helmet I think it's a good paint, to me it looks perfect. The only detail I didn't see was the difference of colour between your german puttees and your trousers... It might be a bit too dark to portray a french soldier, these are "feldgrau" and at that time french were very obsessed by the idea of not wearing anything wich could look german

Thanks for the compliments! I am planning on obtaining proper puttees soon, I just need to find some wool to make them.
